Presently, we are spoilt with the vast wealth of talent amongst Ireland’s young writers, poets and songwriters. When the world is in flux and rationality becomes a novel idea the creative side of the brain attempts to make sense of the madness of others through the power of words. The thoughts of Ireland’s younger generation of spoken word performers and hip-hop acts will be shared and celebrated at Young Blood, an event giving a platform to the articulate voices of the people working towards inspiring social change as well as showcasing our rapidly evolving cultural identity.
On the 18th March in Dublin’s National Concert Hall, The Saint Patrick’s Festival will present Young Blood, curated by Aoife Woodlock (Music Producer of Other Voices) featuring acts steadily grasping the attention and praise nationwide. Choice Prize winners The Rusangano Family will perform on the night along with Stephen James Smith, Katie Laffan, Hare Squad, Colm Keegan and many more.
Sounds like a great way to remedy the post Patrick’s Day greens, right? We have two tickets for Young Blood to be won by one lucky reader. All you need to do is like and share this post.
