Not the surly, quick-quipping Hugh Laurie character from a wildly overrated American television show, but the new single from London-based singer/songwriter/musician Alexander Shields, aka, A Grave With No Name. ‘House’ comes ahead of the release of his new album Wooden Mask, which is due out on August 12th via Forged Artifacts.
Taking on a warmer veil for ‘House’, the track, converse to atmospheric motifs found throughout Shields’ larger body of work, bubbles along in a solemn yet encapsulating fashion. It’s hauntingly beautiful stuff for such skeletal timbres.
Have a listen, won’t you?
