Halves – Boa Howl

Ahead of its official release this Friday, we have the new Halves album, Boa Howl, to stream. The follow-up to 2010’s Choice-nominated It Goes, It Goes (Forever & Ever) is a confident step forward by the Dublin trio. Self-produced and recorded over a mere two weeks in Svenska Grammofon Studion, Gothenburg, Boa Howl contains moments of bruising power, lush beauty and surreal intimacy that blend together to form a rather splendid whole. But have a listen for yourself.

Boa Howl features guest appearances by Gemma Hayes and Canadian harpist Elaine Kelly-Canning, and is released nationwide on 5th July via HATEISTHEENEMY Records.

The band will launch Boa Howl at the Button Factory next Saturday (13th July) with support from Overhead, the Albatross and Bantum. Tickets for the gig cost €10 and are available from Ticketmaster and POD.

See for details of further tour dates, including an instore performance at Tower Records, Wicklow Street in Dublin this Saturday (6th July).
