Preview: Arcade Fire – The Reflektor Tapes

Delving into the context surrounding the recording of their magnus opus Reflektor and directed by 2013 Sundance Grand Jury Prize for Short Films winner Kahlil JosephThe Reflektor Tapes is Arcade Fire’s first foray into cinema. What promises to be a fascinating insight into the making of the record, fans can expect to thrown headfirst into a mix of visual and aural stimuli, including concert footage and behind-the-scenes insights into the band as they set about recording, playing and promoting Reflektor.

In addition to showcasing music from the titular album, as well as other albums from Arcade Fire’s back catalogue, The Reflektor Tapes will also give viewers a chance to hear an unreleased track for the first time and features an exclusive 20 minutes of unseen footage, filmed only for cinema audiences. The film will, however, be shown in select Irish cinemas including The Lighthouse Cinema, Dublin and Eye Cinema, Galway, from September 24th for a limited time with tickets and full details of all the listings found here.
