Hailing from Midlothian, Scotland, Black International are making the kind of noise we’re particularly fond of here at State. Think Sonic Youth fist-fighting My Bloody Valentine in a large, metal tank. Drenched in reverb, vitriol and venom, ‘A Fence To Keep People Out’ is taken from their second full-length album A Lesson In Repression and as album titles go, this one couldn’t be further from the truth – Stewart Allan and Craig Peebles are seemingly anything but. Play this one loudly, eh?
A Lesson In Repression is released via Good Grief Records on 30th October 2015.
