Well now, isn’t this fitting? In an exclusive premiere, Belfast singer-songwriter David C Clements has shared with State his live session video for ‘In December’ and it’s warmly soundtracking the office as we ease into these colder, darker days ahead of the holidays. Light, fuzzy indie guitars and sweetly melodic vocals ebb and flow, building to an anthemic climax over the course of five minutes in this personal, emotive soliloquy of love and memory. One for dark nights and shared experiences, ‘In December’ is taken from Clements’ My Dear Mother EP, which you can download for free here.
On the run up to the release of his debut album, Clements will be taking to the road performing in living rooms across Ireland. “I really love playing these intimate shows. It’s a completely different experience from the full band shows. I get to spend time with so many great people & have the opportunity to share some of the stories behind the songs, which can be difficult on the bigger stages.” David has put out an open call for people with a ‘creative eye & a love for intimate live music’ to become hosts on the tour. If you fit the bill and would like to have David perform in your home, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
You can catch David C Clements at The Empire, Belfast, on December 21st and tickets can be found here.
