Introducing: Emma Lou

She had us at the Spice Girls influence to be honest, but there’s a lot more to Dubliner Emma Lou than just a love of pop music and her past singing covers on YouTube. Channelling the classic sound of soul of blues into something modern, her music brings a welcome touch of funk to the start of the summer. Blessed with a voice beyond her years, this is music built to last. She releases her self-titled debut EP on Friday and launches it with her band The Agenda at the Grand Social on Sunday.

Say “Space Ghetto” in a thick NYC accent. It’s “Spice Girls” in a thick Glaswegian accent. Repeat over & over. You are welcome.
