One of our favourite music books of recent times has been Clothes, Clothes, Clothes. Music, Music, Music. Boys, Boys, Boys, the memoir of former Slits guitarist Viv Albertine. As luck would have it, along come an Irish band who more than remind us of their freewheeling and passionate approach to music and politics. Fierce Mild are a post-punk, dancey funk who have been catching the eye for a while now but really come into their own with their debut EP, released via Little Gem next week. Five tracks of fervent protest pop, the title and timing will give you some idea of the major national issue that provides the lyrical backdrop.
The band launch Yes n Yes n Yes on Friday 15th May at the Grand Social and we have a pair of tickets to pass on, so email us at email@example.com by 5pm on Wednesday to enter. In the meantime, enjoy our exclusive stream of the EP below and fight the power.
