Who are you and where are you from?
I’m Roman from Breton.

Who are your favourite artists from your hometown?
I really like a producer called Oneman and some stuff that Concrete Knives have done.

What’s it really like touring?
It feels like the most honest way of getting music to people. Having direct contact and seeing genuine reactions is something you can never get from uploading music to Soundcloud. I know lots of people go on about how tough touring is, but really there are much worse jobs and seeing new places is great.

What’s your favourite city/town/venue to play?
It’s so difficult to narrow down. we played somewhere called the Paradiso in Amsterdam, which I really recommend, or there’s Transmusicales in Rennes (France) were we played in an aircraft hanger in front of about 2000 people. We love small venues too, like Islington Mill in Manchester.

What’s your ideal festival line-up?
I think this years Coachella looks pretty amazing – unfortunately we will miss it as we are in Germany and Denmark – however we would rather be playing those shows.

Tell us a tour story…
We lost our VJ in Italy once. He had been kidnapped by some people that forced him to drink strong alcohol (he claims).

What has been your biggest achievement of the last year?
Putting out our EPs, making music for Georgia Hardigne’s London Fashion Week shows and directing the video for Sinead O’Connor’s new single have all been high points for us.

What do you do to relax?
Write music or watch films.

What are you reading?
I’m reading Patti Smith’s autobiography Just Kids.

How about TV, anything good on the box?
Not really sure – I tend to watch films, or watch things online.

What’s the last thing you bought online?
It was a Psaltery (Greek harp) on eBay for £20.

Who would you most like to collaborate with if you got the chance?
I would love to work with Jonathan Glazer or Charlie Kauffman.

What is the worst cover your band has ever performed?
We really have never played a cover.

Have you ever trashed your equipment? When and why?
We broke a synth, but we were actually trying to fix it, so I don’t know if that counts.

What website do you visit most?, it’s a website that is dedicated to sound design documentaries.

What is your favourite…
…album of the last year?
Ghostpoet (Peanut Butter Blues…)

‘Thunder Bay’ by Hudson Mowhawk.

….Lost classic song?
Clark – ‘Herzog’

… Record label?
Fat Cat.

…current artist?

…YouTube video?
Tutorial on how to use the OP1.

A new artist that you are most excited about?

What was the last great gig you have seen?
TEED at Transmusicales.

What should we expect from your Irish shows?
We will be playing songs from our new album, and each song has it’s own video that we will be screening as we play. We are not going to put them online until after the tour, so the people who come to the shows will be the first to see them.
