Who are you and where are you from?
We are Radio Room and we are from Dublin.
Who are your favorite artists from home?
What’s it really like touring?
It’s bittersweet… mostly sweet! It taught us a lot about roughing it out to achieve your goals. We met some crazy people, were in some bizarre scenarios, and saw some incredible sights. Every band should give it their all to get out on the road, it’s an experience and changes how you perceive music!
What’s your favourite city/town/venue to play?
The Workman’s Club. the Mercantile, and Sin é have always been impressive venues for us. Sweet, sweet sound.
What’s your ideal festival line-up?
Bands that have not been paid millions to come out of old-age retirement headlining, preferably.
What has been your biggest achievement of the year?
2014 was huge, but recording with the legendary Steve Albini in Chicago will forever be the biggest.
What was the worst piece of advice you were given?
What do you do to relax?
Go to gigs and play lots of FIFA. Local gigs are amazing when someone you don’t know surprises you.
What are you reading?
Roy Keane: The Second Half Keano, forever.
How about TV, anything good on the box?
Suits is back this month!
Do you have a favourite YouTube video?
It’s a bit explicit.
What website do you visit most?
What is your favourite:
Bombay Bicycle Club – I Had The Blues But I shook Them Loose..
Bloodhound Gang – ‘The Bad Touch’
Lost classic song?
CKY – ’96 Quite Bitter Beings’
Dirty Hit produce some quality music.
Who is your favourite current artist?
A new artist that you are most excited about?
What was the last great gig you have seen?
Red Enemy @ The Button Factory
We played a gig in Dundalk for a college RAG week before and it was beyond messy. The characters there were just hard to explain. A shout out to the dude who was 22 getting dragged from the venue by his parents.
What should we expect from your Irish shows?
Lots of energy, tunes from our new album, and sweattttt x
