Who are you and where are you from?
I am Paul Mahon and am from St Johns Point in the North of Ireland
Who are your favorite artists from home?
Therapy? Ash, Van Morrison, Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, Stiff Little Fingers, Damien Dempsey.
What’s it really like touring?
It’s many different things – the musical side of it is very fulfilling if you are in it to play music. It’s also a nice way of experiencing a little tourism and seeing parts of the world you wouldn’t see otherwise. I had never been out of Ireland until we started touring and it has taken me all across Europe, America and Asia. There are also some not so glamourous moments people don’t expect but like anything in life you make the best of it!
What’s your favourite city/town/venue to play?
Belfast Ulster hall is one of my favourites and Spain is really good particularly cafe antizokia in Bilbao.
What’s your ideal festival line-up?
I would like to echo something like Donnington Monsters of Rock 1984 with some other additions, so Motley Crue on first, Alice in Chains, The Answer, Van Halen and ACDC.
What has been your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting the album written, recorded and ready to release in a short period of time and doing the business in terms of quality.
What was the worst piece of advice you were given?
Spend your money as you get it to keep the flow of wealth moving!
What do you do to relax?
I like cycling and sampling different craft beers from all over the world and visiting the bars and breweries that serve them.
What are you reading?
I am currently reading American Tabloid by James Ellroy and the Tibetan Book of the Dead.
How about TV, anything good on the box?
Yes I missed Twin Peaks the first time around so have just done the first series and am completely spellbound by Audrey Horne and her saddleshoes.

Yes, James Brown on Good Morning America.. “Im single and I’m ready to mingle… it’s a mans world!!!!!!”.

Van Halen 1984, some amazing rock and occasionally pop songs with some of the most incendiary guitar playing and rock solid drumming this side of the universe.

What should we expect from your Irish shows?
Lots of fire breathing,hellraising,beer drinking and hard ass visceral rock n roll! The set list will be made up mostly of the new album with the tracks people want, a mix of past and future classics!
