Incoming: Feldberg

Reykjavik pop-rock duo Feldberg, the newest addition to Iceland’s enviable canon of internationally acclaimed acts and the latest signings to Smalltown America’s blossoming, eclectic roster, tell us all about themselves ahead of their Irish shows…

Who are you and where are you from?

We are Einar Tönsberg and Rósa Birgitta Ísfeld and we´re from Iceland.

Who are your favorite artists from home?

Sing Fang Bous, Sykurmolarnir, Ólöf Arnalds.

What’s it really like touring?

Smelly and sweaty.

What’s your favourite city/town/venue to play?

Paris…. Just something about being there… and they know the words to our songs.

Sweaty club gig versus festival appearance?

Nothing beats playing at a festival… but small intimate gigs can be really nice though.

What’s your ideal festival line-up?

Fleet Foxes, Feldberg then Florence and the Machine… The F Tour

Tell us a tour story…

We once lost Einar in London and had to leave from Heathrow without him. He fell asleep on the Piccadilly line and woke up some hours laters after going back and forward few times.

What are you reading?

Keith Richards’ Life.

How about TV, anything good on the box?

Nope, not since Jeeves and Wooster.

What is your favourite record of all time? First answer please.

I woud have to say the White Album by the Beatles .. Einar what do you say? Strangeways Here We Come, The Smiths.

Fleet Foxes.

What should we expect from your Irish shows?

Naked girls and confetti.
