What’s your favourite city/town/venue to play?
Favourite city, well I always enjoy playing New York City, but my favourite venue is The Surf Ballroom in Clearlake, Iowa.

Tell us a tour story…
When I was singing back up for Brandon Flowers we were doing a christmas show in LA and there were a bunch of other bands on the bill and one of them was Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, whom I am a huge fan of. I was sitting in the dressing room all by myself and low and behold, Alexander, the lead singer, is looking for a place to go to the bathroom and the public bathroom must have been occupied.. so I offered our dressing room bathroom… so yeah.. he peed in our bathroom.. and it was like music to my ears. Does this make me sound creepy?

What has been your biggest achievement of the year?
There is a great venue in Toronto,an old theatre where a lot of amazing artist have played called Massey Hall. It was always a dream of mine to play there and recently I got to do so and it was magical!

A book of love letters that Johnny Cash sent to his first wife Vivian Cash during their 14 year marriage, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, and Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales.

How about TV, anything good on the box?
I watch this show called Hoarders… about people that hoard too much stuff and they have really messy homes that are sometimes condemned and it serves to give me really good incentive to clean my apartment.

Band of Skulls

What should we expect from your Irish shows?
Well I’m half Irish.. I may break out into Irish folk song and do a little jig from my Irish dancing days.
