It’s got its ups……and it’s got its downs.

What’s your favourite city/town/venue to play?

Deep Purple, Charlie Chaplin, Pere Ubu, Christina Aguilera, The Bad Seeds, Queen, Mary Margret Ohara, Dead Kennedys, Dave Chappelle, Tom Waits, Hefner, Kelly Deal.

Tell us a tour story…
We were playing in Manchester and due to some paranoid miscommunication, there was a mix-up about who was wearing what. There was a lot of silence and then arguing and then some tears and then hugs and handshakes. The bass player went into the bathroom and when he flushed the toilet which apparently wasn’t attached to the floor. It fell over and the room started to flood. We went on and had a lovely show. That might sum up the peaks and valleys of band travel.

What has been your biggest achievement of the year so far?
Returning to show business.

What was the worst piece of advice you were given?
Don’t return to show business.

What are you reading?
Smut by Allen Bennet

How about TV, anything good on the box?
Yes. It’s the golden age of TV in America. Louie is tops.

Do you have a favourite YouTube video?

What website do you visit most?
Ask the NSA.

What is your favourite record of the moment?
KOL – Mechanical Bull.

A new artist that you are most excited about?
I saw Come On Live Long at Electric Picnic and loved them.

What was the last great gig you went to?
Rocket from the Tombs at Pearl St. Or maybe Bon Iver at Mt Park.

Worst show ever?
Samantha Fox at Toad’s Place.

What should we expect from your Irish shows?
Well, Kenny and I have learned about 50 songs so I’d say you’ll get as much a music as you want. See you soon…
