Who are your favourite artists from home?
Redneck Manifesto, Ash, Cathy Davey, Thin Lizzy
What’s it really like touring?
Once you get your head around the logistics it’s great. I love arriving at a venue that we’ve never been in and making it our own. It’s great meeting people from different towns too.
What’s your favourite city/town/venue to play?
Dublin, Upstairs in Whelans. I’d say thats the place we’ve played the most. Its like home to us.
Tell us a tour story…
We played in a small pub in Co Carlow. Turned into a lock-in. We sang songs all night while some 60 year old tried it on with our girlfriends. He actually got got pretty far!
What has been your biggest achievement of the last year?
Getting the album recorded, mixed, mastered, pressed! Also getting Jakub to tape up his cymbals for a number of pub gigs (he can really hit’em)
What do you do to relax?
Throw an American football around and Listen to music (not our own!..)
What are you reading?
Fast-food menus pretty much exclusively, the oriental establishments have quite a bit in them!
How about TV, anything good on the box?
The Office (US), Friday Night Lights, Dragons’ Den, Grand Designs, House and lots more besides.
What’s the last thing you bought online?
All business here I’m afraid…Drum sticks, guitar strings and a replacement head for a microphone.
Who would you most like to collaborate with if you got the chance?
Nick Zinner from Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Love his guitar playing. Him or Dave Grohl.
What is the worst cover your band has ever performed?
We generally try not to do bad covers. However, our latest rendition of The Cure’s ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ made at least four boys cry
Have you ever trashed your equipment? When and why?
No! We have no cash to replace it! I flicked a plec into the audience once but went looking for it after the gig.
What website do you visit most? (discounting email etc)
Wikipedia, gets addictive, one page links to another and before you know it you’re you get pulled in.

Foals – Total Life Forever
Arcade Fire – We used to wait
