I’m Leo Stannard and I’m from Leicester.

Who are your favourite artists from home?

When I was younger I used to go and see as much local live music as possible. I loved The Cream Tangerines and Kenworthy (now called Colouring).

What’s it really like touring?

My shows in Zurich have always been amazing so I love that city.

What’s your ideal festival line-up?

Neil Young, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tame Impala.

What has been your biggest achievement of the year?

Having three of my songs go past 1 million plays on Spotify was pretty good.

What has been the worst moment of the year?

If it should be music related, then snapping two guitar strings during the encore for my show in Munich.

What was the worst piece of advice you were given?

Don’t do music because the music industry is very hard to break into.

What do you do to relax?

Maratea in Southern Italy.

What are you reading?

Revolutionary Road.

How about TV, anything good on the box?

I’m a Leicester City fan so the football has been great recently.

Melody Gardot in Los Angeles was incredible.

What should we expect from your Irish shows?

It’s just going to be me, my guitar and my piano so it’ll be a very intimate, passionate performance.
