Preview: Out To Lunch

There’s a certain unavoidable and unapologetically daunting absolute that rolls around some six days after the collective joy of Christmas; one that, more often than not, watches us swiftly break those seemingly achievable self-promises and rue the weeks spent spending so much money that the “new you” will have to be built upon supernoodles and leftover chocolates. January – the month of supposed fresh-starts and bright outlooks – is increasingly a period of repetitive murmurings about how “it takes EVERYONE a few weeks to get into a new groove”. Aye, and we’re the winners of the Best Music category of the 2015 Web Awards… ahem…

Perhaps we haven’t filled you with much confidence for the impending sled-ride towards sweet, gluttonous abandon and the inevitable post-December 25th regret, but there really isn’t anything to worry about; given the lineup emerging steadily from Belfast’s Out To Lunch Festival (part of the wider, ongoing Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival) there’ll be lots of opportunities to shake those January blues, and quite literally shake to those January blues without having to spend a fortune. So far, we’re looking forward to…
