Introducing: Perish

Hailing from Cork, though fronted by Australian musician and producer Ciaran Corcoran, promising noise-pop upstarts Perish have delivered one of the first true sonic gems of 2018 with their Inertia EP. Calling to mind the melodic, hazed guitar work of Kevin Shields, as well as the rhythmic density and simplicity of British post-punk masters The Fall (RIP MES), the EP’s opener ‘Vision’ sets up a collection bathed in reverb, fuzz, attitude, and idiosyncrasy (as well as the odd chord progression that completely, but wonderfully, catches you off guard).

Written, recorded and produced by Cocoran, Inertia – in all its fizzing psychedelic beauty – can be found here for download (cassette, too). Listen below.
