Track Premiere: Rory Nellis – Casual Discrimination

One of the most distinctive voices in Northern Irish songwriting, Rory Nellis has returned with a new track befitting of the turbulent times we find ourselves in. ‘Casual Discrimination’, the third offering to be taken from Nellis’ forthcoming new album There Are Enough Songs In The World (out November 6th), follows on from ‘Born for Rainy Weather’ and ‘There Are Enough Songs In The World’ – yet juxtaposes an inherent grasp of melody and form with far more poignant subject material; a step in to more serious thematic climes for the Seven Summits frontman.

Indebted to the autumnal soundscapes of The Shins, but imbued with a central folk sensitivity a la M. Ward, Nellis has begun to show a largely unparalleled progression from last year’s Ready For You Now – a feat which should see the singer-songwriter’s star continuing to ascend.
