Track Premiere: The North Sea – Belong

Their debut album Anniversary hit the spot, and the singles just keep on coming from The North Sea. The latest to be taken from it, ‘Belong’ sees the Dublin indie-rockers exploring “the ties between family and how we all need each other. The similarities that bond us also frustrate and cause friction – the pain that is felt when these ties are broken”. Anthemic and reminiscent of early ’90s brit-pop, ‘Belong’ jangles along with insistent chord-progressions until an infectious, lively chorus. Lovely guitar work, lads.

You can catch The North Sea play their biggest headline to date at Whelan’s on Thursday, March 10th. Tickets can be found from Saturday via WAV ticket office, with more dates from the lads to be found here.
