White Denim audio interview

White Denim genuinely look saddened to hear that there is no Guinness available at the bar. They reluctantly opt for Murphy’s instead. ‘The last time we were here we didn’t get a chance to have one either’ says guitarist and singer with the band, James Petralli. They are of course referring to that memorable Oxegen performance last year where a late ferry arrival and missing gear saw the band barely make it onstage in time. Despite the hold-ups, it was an explosive performance that had me running to the shops to get hold of their debut album, Work Out Holiday.

This time they’re back with the follow up, Fits, which crams so many ideas into one album, it’s almost overwhelming’¦.almost. As the guys sip tentatively at their pints, we begin’¦..
