Blink-182 announce Irish concert date at The 02 Dublin
Pioneers of modern day pop-punk Blink-182 have announced they will play a concert at The 02 Dublin on August 31st 2010. Tickets go on sale this Thursday April 1st at 9am.
The hiatus is over, Blink-182 are back and coming to The 02!
The story of Blink-182 is already familiar to most fans of rock music, the pop-punk band formed in the suburbs of San Diego in 1993 when they released their debut album Cheshire Cat. Follow up albums went on to sell millions of copies and featured such generation defining hit singles as ‘All The Small Things’, ‘What’s My Age Again’ and ‘Rock Show’. They have played countless stages around the world and are one of the world’s most wanted, most recognized and most emulated pop-punk acts.
Blink-182’s last ever concert was a sold out show at The Point Depot in 2005 after which they split to pursue solo projects.
A brief statement posted on their website reads “To put it simply, We’re back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album.’
Tickets go on sale this Thursday April 1st at 9am.
