Britpop revivalists Brother have announced details of their first ever Irish show at the Academy 2, Dublin on Tuesday 19th of April.
Proclaiming their sound as “Gritpop” Brother have taken the UK indie scene by storm in recent months. Inspired by Oasis in their musical approach (not to mention their attitude), their take no prisoners style has struck a chord with fans who are sick of introspective bands performing to themselves on stage, eschewing preen and pretention. Brother’s style is definitely for indie’s silent majority, who want to go out and enjoy themselves, full of snarling anthems and soaring guitars.
Tipped by the NME (including being featured on their most recent cover) and The Guardian as one of the breakthrough acts of the year, their back to Britpop approach is set to conquer the indie scene.
Brother have finally proved that the only thing to come out of Slough isn’t just David Brent and The Office.
