DISCOTEQUE – The Sugar Club, Dublin

Featuring: Kistar. Mr Razor. Subway Mike.
Fri April 9th.
Doors 11pm.
Adm 5 Euros.

After a couple of great gigs in The Sugar Club already under their belts Kistar are back on April 9th. ” Discoteque ” is the name of the night. So yes, you’re gonna hear some Disco but mainly from the DJ’s. The band play a nice mixture of Funk, Disco and Beats, with a hint of Rock thrown in. Enough genres covered? There’s some original material (Bad Road, Darkest Corner) along with some covers, Lyn Collins, Chic and a great funk work-out of “Gimme Shelter” The DJ’s “top and tail” the night. Early, its more Funk and grooves kinda styles to get you in the mood. The Dj on after the band plays a storming set of Disco, Nu-Disco, Nice Beats and even some House. Got all that?
Kistar is basically a music collective featuring Mr Razor on Guitar, Subway Mike on Decks (Beats), G Frequency on Bass & Shelly Bukspan on Vox. Think of a live band with the drummer being a DJ.
So hopefully you have a better idea of what the night is all about and we’ll see you on April 9th. Don’t forget doors are 11pm. Highly Recommended.
