It’s that time of year again… KnockanStockan returns to Blessingon Lake for the fourth year running this 24th, 25th and 26th of July.
A festival for musicians by musicians Knockanstockan’s back to do what it does best’¦ bringing musicians and music lovers together to celebrate, showcase and share their music in the magnificent backdrop of the lakes and this year is set to be the best one yet!
From humble beginnings as an excuse for a knees-up, Knockanstockan now offers the discerning festival goer something more intimate and organic. Run entirely by volunteers who beg, borrow and pull in every favour to make Knockanstockan happen – this festival is not to be missed!

This year’s line up includes 100 acts over 3 stages including the Choice Prize nominated And So I Watch You From Afar, The Hot Sprockets – winners of the King Kong club final, The Candidates, North Strand Contra Band, Sounds of System Breakdown, Mescalito, The Prairie Dawgs, Intinn, Kopek, Noise Machine and many more.
The -Ambient Arena’ is another welcome addition to this year’s festivities and will provide lots of heavenly space to take a well earned break and amerce yourself in live art, dance parades, live DJ’s, yoga, dance performances and belly dancing.
Feeling hungry yet? Fear not Knockanstockan has over 10 vendor stalls this year with something to suit everyone; Captain Americas burgers, Happy Camping Tea & Toast, the Argentine Grill, Pig on a spit, Noodle Box and the Big Blue bus are just some of your options to soak up the booze.
On that note Knockanstockan has a bar on site to quench your thirst and buses to and from Blessington Village for those last minute and often forgotten festival essentials.
So how do you get to this wonderful place? Buses run from Dublin City Centre and from Blessington Village straight to the box office in Lacken Village and there’s a car park close by for those who prefer to car pool.
With tickets costing a mere €75 including camping this year’s Knockanstockan is a recession busting treat.
