Modest Mouse took to a stage that looked like it was set up for more than one band, with two drum kits, and almost every musicial instrument that one could think of. As the audience chant and chant for the band to appear, they finally walk on stage and launch straight into ‘Gravity Rides Everything’ from their 2000 release The Moon & Antarctica, followed by ‘Tiny Cities Made Of Ashes’ and ‘Dashboard.’
One of the few moments of interaction with the audience came prior to ‘Baby Blue Sedan,’ as Isaac Brock started an odd discussion about cars and dogs with the audience.
However it was the inclusion of ‘Float On’was one of the highlights on the night, which also featured what sounded suspiciously like a cover of Prince’s ‘Little Red Corvette,’ on a setlist that covered pretty much all of their back catalogue.
