The Big Feastival – London

Jamie Oliver may have his fingers in many pies but so far he’s stayed clear of music, apart from his less than successful stint as drummer with Scarlet Division. His Big Feastival event, taking place on Clapham Common over the weekend, saw him dip his toe back in the water with a three day line-up of acts such as Soul II Soul, Roots Manuva and The Charlatans alongside plenty of food related stalls and interactive exhibitions. While it wasn’t the most cutting edge of musical offerings the vibe was splendid and all proceeds went to the Prince’s Trust and the Jamie Oliver Foundation, with the man himself popping up at various points over the weekend – including DJing with Norman Jay – and the compact site certainly got us in the mood for our own Electric Picnic. Roger Woolman was on hand with his camera all to document the comings and goings.
