1986 cover compilation featuring James McMorrow, BellX1, Heathers, The Cast Of Cheers launches tonight

A free gig is happening in Button Factory tonight to launch Silver Lining, a charity album in aid of Headstrong which was produced and engineered by students of the Sound Training Centre in Temple Bar.

The compilation sees covers of hits from 1986 (the year STC was founded) by the likes of Bressie, Bell X1, James Vincent Mcmorrow, RSAG, The Chapters, Heathers, The Cast Of Cheers and more. The cover songs include Peter Gabriel’s ‘Sledgehammer’, Paul Simon’s ‘You Can Call Me Al’ , Kenny Loggins ‘Danger Zone’ , Cyndi Lauper ‘True Colours’, Bon Jovi ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ and more. Head along tonight for the free gig featuring DJ Tim O’Donovan, This Club, Red Queen Contest, Mali Junior and Touchwood and pick up a CD for €5. All proceeds go to Headstrong, the national centre for youth mental health.
