A Joyful Slog documentary launch party at the Button Factory

A Joyful Slog is a documentary about the Irish independent music scene and the development of DIY music ethic in the country over the last twenty years. It features interviews of bands such as And So I Watch You From Afar, Jape, Adebisi Shank but also journalists and labels representatives. A Joyful Slog will be presented during a launch party at the Button Factory on Sunday May 6th, which will also feature live performances from The Jimmy Cake, No Spill Blood, September Girls, Crayonsmith, Costello with GI and William Lee and Nibiru. Each set will be recorded along with interviews of the bands and shown in season two of the Community of Independents studio programme which will be broadcasted in late May.

Doors open at 5:30pm and admission is free. More details on the Facebook Event page.
