As Japan continues to deal with the aftermath of the recent string of tragedies – earthquake, tsunami, aftershocks and nuclear issues – people from around the world have stepped up in all kinds of ways to raise awareness and funds.
Organised by State’s Photo Editor Loreana Rushe, the music community of Ireland have rallied together for a benefit night to raise relief donations and to maintain awareness for the cause – all proceeds will go to Aid Japan.
The event takes place this Saturday, May 7th in Dublin’s Twisted Pepper. There will be two stages, tickets for each stage costs €5 or €10 for the whole bash.
On the bill are Squarehead, Grand Pocket Orchestra, Toby Kaar, Sacred Animals, No Monster Club, We Are Losers, Shapes & Jogging.
There’ll also be a relay of DJ sets from Adebisi Shank, Bats, Rigsy, Shortie, Una Mullaly, Nialler9, Moshi Moshi, Chika & Kayo, Aoife Sweet Oblivion, Niamh New Noise, Peter Toomey, Darren Maloney & Liam McCreith.
