Arctic Monkeys release underwhelming album artwork

“UNDERWHELMING?” I hear you say. Well, it’s certainly minimal and will probably look good on vinyl if the text comes nice and embossed and the paper quality is good but yes, underwhelming…

Arctic Monkeys fans have already started comparing it to the Beatles White Album. Oh dear. Well this will be the band’s Light Peach With A Hint of Buttermilk album. Crap artwork is clearly a trend this week.

The title is awful too. Suck It And See is out on June 3rd.

    And so the backlash begins!.

I’m sure if Arcade Fire had brought out this albumwork/title there’d be a chorus of how inspiring it was. You know, the usual yadda yadda.

I think its just an album name, its just some artwork and the song is great along with a video that brings to mind watching the Chart Show ‘Indie Vault’ in 1987 and seeing the Jesus & Mary Chain video for 30 seconds. This band get better and better, sorry for those people that wanted them to stay at a ‘Mardy Bum’/Fluorescent’ level and always be their cheeky little monkeys!.
