Also making their way down to Stradbally, Co. Laois between 30th August and 1st September are Fatboy Slim, Franz Ferdinand, David Byrne & St Vincent, Johnny Marr and Warpaint, with many more included and to be announced in the run up to the festival, this year celebrating its tenth birthday. Tickets for Electric Picnic 2013 go on sale this Saturday, 27th April, at 9am, but there are certain caveats to purchasing tickets this year. If you can prove you’ve been to three or more Electric Picnics or if you can prove have been to Electric Picnic once before, full weekend tickets will cost €149.50 and €169.50, respectively, between 27th April and 27th May. Otherwise, full weekend tickets cost €189.50 until 28th July when the price rises to €229.50. Day tickets cost €85 and all tickets include booking fees.
How can you can prove your viability? Festival organisers have kindly passed the buck onto Ticketmaster, who “should be able to provide fans with proof”. Tickets will be available from Ticketmaster and all the usual outlets.
