Bleeding Heart Pigeons announce debut album and live show

2016 is already proving to be an exciting year for new Irish music and it’s set to get even better with the release of Is, the long anticipated debut album by Limerick electro-pop trio Bleeding Heart Pigeons, this Friday, January 15th (with a UK release following on February 12th). Released by Virgin EMI and mixed by the man behind Jamie XX, FKA Twigs and Everything Everything David Wrench, the album features a collection of well-crafted, synth-inspired pop songs, and is a continuation of the band’s fascinating, almost surreal Hallucination EP released last August. Featuring the latest single ‘Anything You Want’, Is has already been exciting critics around the country, with Bleeding Heart Pigeon’s ‘beautifully tapped sonic rawness’ being likened to Caribou, Interpol, and early Radiohead, and even managing to catch the attention of legendary BBC DJ Steve Lamacq.

If that announcement wasn’t enough to whet the appetite however, Messrs Kating, McInerney, and Histon have also announced two upcoming live shows at Dolan’s in Limerick on Friday, March 11th, followed by an upstairs gig at Whelan’s in Dublin the following night. Tickets for both are currently on sale at http://www.ticketmaster.ie/ and at http://www.whelanslive.com/ and are priced at no more than €10.
