Blur release new song ‘Fool’s Day’ for free

Fret not if you didn’t manage to get your hands on the limited 1000-only 7″ from Blur during Record Store Day, the band have released the song ‘Fool’s Day’ as a free download in WAV or Mp3 from their website and it’s available now:

Recorded in London earlier this month, ‘Fool’s Day’ is the first song four members of Blur have recorded together since ‘Battery In Your Leg’ from the album Think Tank (2003).

Blur’s manager Chris Morrison has said it is important that the song was made available to fans legally.

“To avoid fans having to illegally obtain an inferior copy of this track from pirate sites – we have made it freely available through the band’s website”.

  • The random spam pingbacks on this site are getting a bit out of control. Might be an idea to start screening them.

In other news, this song is disappointing. Chord progression is a complete rip-off of (I Just) Died In Your Arms Tonight.

  • We are screening them dude. Some keep getting in though.
