Cloud Control announce Irish shows

Australian indie darlings Cloud Control have announced Dublin and Belfast dates in March and April of this year. The band released their debut album Bliss Release last May in Ireland and the UK to rave reviews as critics clambered to compare them to MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Belle and Sebastian and Vampire Weekend amongst others.

Bliss Release is harmonic pop as eccentric as David Byrne and as modishly psychedelic as early Jefferson Airplane, swathed in layers of analogue reverb and with an outlook of an epic vastness.

The bands new single ‘There’s Nothing In The Water We Can’t Fight’ will be released on March 4th in the UK and Ireland. You can also listen to part of the bands debut album below via soundcloud.

The band made their Irish debut opening for The Temper Trap last October/November. In Australia they have won over a string of festival crowds and supported Vampire Weekend. They won two Independent Music Awards and were nominated for two ARIA Awards (the Australian equivalent of the BRITs) and the Triple J Album of the Year.

March 5th at The Button Factory (supporting The Naked & Famous)
April 6th at The Stiff Kitten, Belfast
April 7th at The Academy 2, Dublin
