The Crayon Set – ‘Attack’

The Crayon Set are back with a new song, and it’s worth a listen or two. Contrary to its title, ‘Attack’ is a rather sweet number complete with male-female vocal interplay, rushing violins and a fuzzy wall of guitars, but it’s not all twee and nostalgic. An upbeat and urgent song, ‘Attack’ is a fine slice of guitar pop.

To promote it, the Dublin have also announced a couple of gigs. They play the Crane Lane Theatre, Cork next Friday (21st March) and Whelan’s on the 29th March. Entry to the Whelan’s gig is €5, but Crane Lane is free. Supportcomes from State Faces Carriages.

You can listen to ‘Attack’ and the last year’s self-titled debut album below.
