Cults debut mix project track with Freddie Gibbs

Cults have debuted a remix of the track ‘Bad Things’ from their self-titled debut album Cults which contains a bit of a surprise. The indie pop outfit told Spinner, back in July that they:

We’re working on a hip-hop mixtape of the album—changing all the songs up and getting up-and-coming rappers, guys like Freddie Gibbs and Lil B and stuff,”

The pairings with Freddie Gibbs seemed unlikely but the result is extremely addictive. The band appear to have re-recorded Madeline’s vocals to blend subtly with Freddie’s verses.
Take a listen and let us know which version you prefer. The band play the Grand Social this Sunday.
