Declan O’Rourke plays The Button Factory

Declan O’Rourke is set to start work on his third album in the coming months. Following an extensive Australian tour, Declan shed some light on the year ahead.

“Australia is my second home. I loved every minute of it. I spent a month there touring, and the whole thing was a bit of a creative explosion for me, which is fantastic.

‘I’m very excited about recording my third studio album. I’m working on new material all the time, so I’ve got a busy year ahead of me.”

After releasing two acclaimed albums Since Kaybram and Big, Bad, Beautiful World, Declan has drawn praise from artists such as Paul Weller who said -Galileo’ is the song he wishes he’d written and Eddi Reader who covered -Love is the Way’ for her recent album.

Support friday night comes from Eugene Donegan, who just released his first album Little Apples which Declan produced.

Not having a pop at this journo in particular but can anyone in Ireland write a piece on Declan without that Paul Weller comment popping up. Time and Time again!
