A slew of Irish artists have contributed to a compilation album in aid of the suicide and self-harm crisis centre Pieta House.
Life Support, an 18 track compilation of (mostly) exclusive tracks from Ireland’s finest will be released on the Delphi Label on Friday 20th April in aid of Pieta House. Artists participating in the project include Delorentos, The Coronas, Windings, Wallis Bird, The Cut Corners and The Flaws. The collaboration was started by Alan Jacques from the Green & Live Show on Limerick’s Live 95 FM, who has always been a great supporter of new Irish music and was eager to help the association: “Pieta House is close to my heart. I wanted to support and raise money for them in a practical, pro-active way”.
The album will be available on iTunes and in selected stores of Ireland and all proceeds will contribute directly to the Pieta House. The release will be celebrated with two gigs: one in Dolan’s Warehouse in Limerick on Sunday 22nd April with Windings, Brad Pitt Light Orchestra and Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters, and another at The Mercantile in Dublin on Tuesday 24th April with acoustic performances by The Delorentos, We Cut Corners, Eleventy Four and Ross Breen. For a couple of bucks, you can have a cool and original compilation, a special gig and feel good about yourself at the end, so why hesitate ?
