Doves announce Irish shows

Doves return from the wilderness this April with two Irish dates at The Ulster Hall, Belfast on Sunday 19th April (UK£23.50 incl. booking fee (standing) and UK£26 incl. booking fee (seated)) and the Olympia Theatre, Dublin on Monday 20th (€28 incl. booking fee). Tickets are on sale from 9am this Friday, 20 February at all usual Ticketmaster outlets.

Doves’ new album Kingdom of Rust will be released on the 3rd of April which is to be preceded by a single of the same name on 27th March, both on Heavenly Recordings. It’s been four years since Doves released Some Cities.

I honestly thought the legendary Irish pop group Dove were reforming, possibly due to overwhelming demand by a public whose incomparable taste for hideous crapola has been amplified by the All-Ireland Talent Show, triggering their nostalgia for our much-missed trio of pop clowns. Sadly not.
