Dublin International Gospel Music Festival

Sinead O’Connor has been confirmed for the Dublin International Gospel Music Festival. The one-day festival will take place at The Convention Centre, Spencer Dock, Dublin on Saturday, 25th September, starting with workshops from 10am and music from 6pm. Sinead will perform songs from her new studio album ‘Theology’ at the Festival.

Other performers will include The Dublin Gospel Choir, The Discovery Gospel Choir (one of Ireland’s most exciting intercultural choral groups, with members from over 12 countries, ranging from China and Poland to Zimbabwe ), Alva, Shaz Oye, The Redeemed Christian Church of God Praise Choir and Gospo Remix with Yves Nahishakiye from Burundi.

Educational workshops that will take place as part of the Festival include:

    Religion and Education – 10am – 12noon.
    Singing and Voice Training, and Digital Production – 10am – 12noon
    Gospel Music: A History – 10am – 11.30am
    Faith and Race – 11.30am – 1pm
    Music and Integration – 12noon – 1.30pm
    Choreography – 12noon -1.30pm
    Online Marketing and Promotion of Gospel Music – 12noon – 1.30pm

Concert tickets cost €28 and are on sale on www.tickets.ie. All workshops are open free of charge to members of the public and can be booked in advance by emailing gospelmusic@metroeireann.com or on www.dublingospelmusicfestival.com.
