Organiser’s of Ireland’s newest music festival have just announced that there will be Comedy and Dance tents at the Dysart Festival.
The festival at Dysart Castle, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, is nestled between woodland hillsides and the river Nore and boasts an impressive line up for its first year.
Acts already confirmed include Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Katherine Jenkins, John Martyn, Blind Boys of Alabama and some recognisable faces from the Irish music scene like The Republic of Loose, Juliet Turner, Fred (pictured) and State cover-girl Gemma Hayes.
The Dysart Comedy Tent will feature a selection of comedy acts from The Laughter Lounge like Paddy Courtney, John Lynn, Steve Cummins and Australian funnyman Damian Clark.
The Dysart Dance tent see selection of DJs from around the worldtake to the stage including the exclusive pairing of Detroit DJs Stacey Pullen and Kenny Larkin who will perform a five hour set, D.M.C. champion Cutmaster Swift, DJ MisWhite, Plaza de Funk, Alex Paterson from The Orb, NaÃ¯ve Melody and Slippery People with Sen-C.
Other attractions over the weekend will include the Bean Bag Silent Cinema, the Church of Soul, art installations and a designated children’s area.
