Echo & the Bunnymen top Meteor Camden Crawl bill

Seminal post-punk band Echo & the Bunnymen are set for their first Dublin show in two years with the news that they are to headline this year’s Meteor Camden Crawl. The Scouse legends, led by Ian McCulloch, will perform at the Button Factory on Saturday, 4th May as part of the festival which takes places on the May bank holiday weekend (3rd-5th May) this year.

Also confirmed for 2013 are nu-rave stalwarts New Young Pony Club, who will now perform at the event’s launch party at Whelan’s on the Friday. Furthermore, 2013 will see the introduction of an additional stage curated by Nialler9, with the likes of Adultrock, Come on Live Long, Ghosts, Hunk, Liza Flume, Terriers and Slow Skies among the young, Irish talent accomodated.

With today’s (3rd April) news comes the release of the second of three Camden Crawl compilations, featuring 15 tracks from this year’s performers. CC2013 Mixtape #2 can be downloaded from 7Digital, and full line-ups for each venue will be released on the festival’s website on 15th April.
