Ex-Placebo drummer releases debut single

After the end of his 11-year tenure with Placebo, former dummer Steve Hewitt, used his ‘unexpected ejection’ as a platform for writing songs and two years later, he’s back with new outfit, Love Amongst Ruin.

Pulling a Dave Grohl, Hewitt stepped out from behind the kit and stands centre stage for his new project with surprising results. Their first single, titled ‘So Sad (Fade)’, to be lifted off their forthcoming album is available to buy today.

Their eponymous debut album is due to drop 3rd September after which the band will start a European tour, finishing up in The Academy 2, Dublin.
