exmagician announce Upstairs at Whelans gig

To celebrate the release of their debut album Scan The Blue on March 25th, Belfast duo exmagician will be performing a special intimate live gig Upstairs at Whelans on Tuesday, the 5th of April. The acclaimed songwriting partnership behind the excellent, but short-lived band Cashier No. 9, longtime collaborators Danny Todd and James Smith have now branched out into production and are already earning rave reviews for their new material.  New venture, exmagician is propelled by a love of adventurous, psychedelic sounds mixed with swooning synths, and features a vast array of influences from David Holmes, to Captain Beefheart, to Scott Walker.

A full listing of exmagician’s Irish tour dates are available on the band’s Facebook page, with tickets for their Upstair at Whelans gig currently on sale at Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and here for the princely sum of just €15.

In the mean time, check out the band’s latest single and album teaser ‘Job Done’.
