Festival news round-up: Øya Festival, KnockanStockan launch, We The People, Sonar, Temple House Festival and more

In a nice coup for Life Festival which takes place on May 27th/May 28th, Vitalic will be playing in Belvedere House.

Øya Festival 2011 happens August 9th-13th in Oslo, Norway and features a stellar lineup so far: Kanye West, Pulp, Aphex Twin, Q-Tip, Fleet Foxes, Lykke Li, Janelle Monae, Kyuss Lives! , James Blake, The Avett Brothers, Hercules & Love Affair Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and more.

The KnockanStockan launch party happens next Tuesday 24th of May in The Grand Social, Dublin. The event is free at starts at 6pm with sets from The Cujo Family, Ross Breen, The Hot Sprockets and Sound of System Breakdown. There’ll also be Jugglers, dancers, fire performers and trixters.

Sea Sessions has announced a DJ shack which includes Herbaliser, Erol Alkan and Scratch Perverts. More info.

Editors and Santigold are amonst the names added to Exit Festival.

Ash, And So I Watch You From Afar, Enemies, Jogging, Bats, Dead School, Slow Motion Heroes and Lamp have been added to Indiependence’s lineup on July 29 – 31.

Temple House Festival has announced its day by day lineup breakdown. That happens from the 10th to the 12th of June in Sligo.

Red Bull Music Academy has completed its SonarDôme line-up which includes Discodeine, Katy B, Illumsphere, Teebs, Zinc and more.

We The People is a Bristol-based festival taking place on Saturday 4th June and Sunday 5th June in Bristol Harbour. There’ll be 3 arenas and 10,000 capacity per day. The current lineup includes the likes of Lee Scratch Perry, The Streets, Chase and Status, DOOM, Annie Mac, Sub Focus, Beardyman, Redlight, Yasmin, Mala + Sgt Pokes, Gaslamp Killer, Guido and more.
