  • Flo Rida in Vicar Street is something I really could never miss, except for the fact I already know I can’t go.

  • Last time I tried to go to hip-hop in Vicar St (Clipse) it was cancelled. Saw them at primavera 2 years ago and glad they did cancel.

  • I can imagine. Pitchfork rap ain’t really my bag anyway.

  • Pitchfork Rap! Is that an official genre now?!

  • haha it’s as good a genre as any- or whatever you’d call that narrow range of generally Southern, drug-dealing, ironically-but-only-kinda misogynistic rap artists that Pitchfork is interested in. I mean Cam’ron is awesome, but I have my doubts about the rest of that Dipset clique and the Clipse.

I’d seen good reports of Clipse shows before I headed along to that cancelled gig (though some of those might have been while wandering in a Pitchfork wonderland). Anyway ‘grindin’ is all I really have to add, whether you see it as a Clipse or a Neptunes song it still stands up 7 years later. Flo-rida not so sure
