Murphy’s Little Big Weekend returns to Cork’s Savoy this 18th-20th October with headliners MGMT. Joining the American psychedelic pop duo will be the Stunning, Jerry Fish, the Frank & Walters, the Would-Bes and O Emperor. To register for tickets go to littlebignightsout.com.

80s synthpop group Blancmange will play at the Button Factory on 21st November. Tickets: €20, and their new album will available solely from touring venues.

After performances at Vicar St and Electric Picnic earlier in 2013, tragicomic balladeer John Grant will play at the Olympia on 3rd March next year. Tickets : €25.

Fun Lovin’ Criminals will return to the Academy on 17th January to peddle their weed-strewn blend of rock and hop-hop. Tickets: €22.10.

Upon completion of an extensive US tour, No Monster Club will perform at Whelan’s on 18th October as part of the Midnight Hour. Tickets: free before 10:30pm and €10 thereafter.

Sheffield noiseniks Drenge ravaged Longitude in July and they will do it all again when they play the Academy 2 on 26th October. Tickets: €13.

Bantum will join Deptford Goth at the Unitarian Church on 18th October. Tickets: €12.

And finally, James Ford’s Simian Mobile Disco will take over Hidden Agenda when they perform at the Button Factory on 23rd November. Tickets: €10 via Ticketmaster and Resident Advisor.
