Gig announcement roundup: 2 Many DJs, Scratch Perverts, Vessels, A Hawk & A Hacksaw, Mike Posner & more

2 Many DJs will be playing a late show (11pm kickoff) in The Academy on St. Patrick’s Eve Wednesday March 16th. Tickets are priced €29 plus fees and go on sale this Friday 7th of January from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and ticketmaster.ie.

US rapper Mike Posner will play The Academy on Wednesday February 23rd. Tickets are €14.50 plus fees and go on sale Friday. This show is all ages so doors are at 7pm and under 15s must be accompanied by an adult. The PR for show also says “Please also note that the show also takes place during schools mid-term break.”

Scratch Perverts return to Ireland in February on Friday 25th for a late gig in The Village. Tickets are a reasonable €12.50 plus fees from Tickets.ie.

Gomez’s Ben Ottewell will play a solo show in Dublin’s The Academy 2 on Sunday 27th February. Tickets priced €19.50 plus fees on sale now. Ottewell will release a new album Shapes And Shadows soon.

Promoters Harmonic bring the Leeds band Vessels to Dublin with support from Enemies on Friday February 25th in The Workman’s Club. Vessels will release their second album Helioscope in 2011. Tickets on sale now €12.50 (including booking fee) from www.tickets.ie, City Discs, Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

Following the release of their fifth album Cervantine next month, Albuquerque’s A Hawk & A Hacksaw will play The Workman’s Club on Friday April 15th. Tickets €16 plus fees from www.tickets.ie, City Discs & Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

It’s a long way off at the moment but Harmonic are also bringing over The Tallest Man On Earth on Wednesday June 1st in Vicar Street. Tickets are €24 each plus fees.
