Gig announcement roundup: Chilly Gonzales, Skream, Sade, U:Mack weekender, Villagers & more

A roundup of new gigs announced this week:

Chilly Gonzales will play a solo piano talk show at The Sugar Club on November 13th. It’ll be a seated show and not to be missed judging by a recent show that State witnessed at the Berlin Music festival. Tickets are €19.85 plus fees.

Skream will be taking a break from Magnetic Man to play a solo show in The Button Factory on December 3rd courtesy of Bodytonic. Tickets are €15 plus fees and it starts at 11pm. Support comes from MC Crazy and Mo-Fo Hobo.

Villagers will play a second Vicar Street show in December on the 22nd. The first show is now sold out. Tickets will be on sale this Friday priced at €25 plus fees.

U:Mack have revealed details of the Static Bank Holiday Weekender to take place from 22nd to 24th of October in The Button Factory. On Friday 22nd October, Swans and James Blackshaw will play the venue (€24 plus fees) followed by the Dance Hall Styles club with free admission.

On Saturday October 23rd, Vision Air (Feat Richie Egan & Niall Byrne), LogikParty and u:mack DJ’s will play a free show.

On Sunday October 24th, the weekend finishes with a Warp Records party featuring Hudson Mohawke, Rustie, Africa Hitech, DJ N>E>D and Harmonic 313. Tickets are €20 for that one from here.

Dublin independent promoter Clockwork Apple will be doing a weekender on November 12th and 13th. On Friday the 12th, The Dead Flags, The Holy Roman Army, Verona Riots and Youth Mass will play The Village. The next night in the same venue will see Jennifer Evans, Sweet Jane, The Ghandis and Little Xs for Eyes play. Tickets are €15 per night or €20 for both. Check the Facebook page for more info.

Sade has announced a show at The O2 on the 25th of May next year. Tickets are priced €54.80, €65.70, €76.25, €86.25 plus fees. It will be a fully seated show.

Andrew Weatherall is down to play Pogo @ Twisted Pepper on 30th of October over Halloween weekend. Support is from Eoin Creghan, tickets cost €14 (or €12 for members). Doors are at 10.30pm.
